Neighbor Kid was a band I played in with my friend Fish a couple years back. We made albums about people we got to know in some way or another. There was the kid in Loveland that lived behind us and would talk to us from his bedroom window at night and an insane person I once worked with. Almost half of what we ever recorded was done in a four month period when we were both unemployeed. I’d head to Fish’s house around noon with some beer and he’d have the whiskey to drink on for the next 5 hours. Everything we played was the only time we played it. There was no “practicing” songs. The mic was always taped to my chest or hanging from the ceiling. I got to play my drums all the time. I was getting a little better. It was great. It was always a blast playing with him.
